SNOWDROPS – Missing island
Snowdrops was created in 2015 by Mathieu Gabry and Christine Ott (regular collaborator of Yann Tiersen, Tindersticks, Oiseaux-Tempête…). The duo initially created music for the theater or the cinema, including the soundtrack for Manta Ray, a film by Phuttiphong Aroopheng which won an award at the Venice Film Festival in 2018. Snowdrops released their first album Volutes in 2020 on Injazero.
Album che unisce sogno e forza, i tre virtuosi musicisti usano gli strumenti per raccontare storie, dividendo il disco in due parti ideali, sguardi gettati verso il cielo a scrutare l’universo, ma anche nel terreno dove giacciono le vittime della politica. Tracce che si indirizzano verso chi ama la musica classica, ma che mantengono una personalità decisa, composizioni affascinanti che piaceranno di sicuro agli amanti del genere.
