ART NATION – Inception
Gli Art Nation arrivano in casa Frontiers con “Inception”, un album piacevole ma niente di più. La band sa suonare e si sente in ogni brano, ma non vuole sbilanciarsi troppo, cercando di rimanere al passo con i tempi, sempre tenendo presente la storia dell’hard rock dagli anni 80 in poi. “Brutal & Beautirful” ha un forte groove, tra metal moderno e più classico ma con melodie delineate e “Last Of The Burned” ha più orchestrazioni tastieristiche e un ottimo guitar solo di Christoffer Borg. C’è anche “1001”, che sembra di ascoltare ina versione più metal degli Europe e “Fight Fire With Fire”, song più veloce e sempre con marcate linee melodiche che caratterizzano anche il successivo brano “Echo”, ma qui c’è un ritornello più orecchiabile e atmosfere anche AOR. Altri brani da segnalare sono “Light The Fire”, che viaggia tra glam, blues e southern rock, “Thee Legend Reborn”, con quei riff di chitarra graffianti e trascinanti e quelle atmosfere epiche e i due brani finali, “Superman” e “Powerless”, dalle melodie sempre più marcate e ricercate. Splendido lo strumentale tra hard rock e southern blues “Kalypso”, con un guitar work perfetto, semplice ma trascinante. Un album semplice ma trascinante, guarda al domani senza dimenticare il passato.
